Engine swap in a 77 c3
Bought it a couple years ago, she had not moved in 11 years.
Got it running in one afternoon; took a couple weeks to get it stopping and rodent free.
The previous owner indicated that this corvette had been a catalyst in a divorce, she still has a couple dozen divots from a golf club.
I've really come to love this vette, She drives great but is completely anemic. L48 engine unfortunately.
I'm normally a purist, but I think I can get creative with this one.
I was pondering a big block, but don't see the need with the big displacement SBC engines that are available now.
I've got a nicely build 200r4 and all the parts sitting in the shop.
The goal is side pipes, a vintage air setup and some noticeable horsepower increases.
I'm leaning towards a Blueprint or GM crate motor, maybe 350ci -390hp.
I do want it to feel like a visceral muscle car; Drive able, but lopey, if that's a word.
I've read all the c3- blueprint/zz swap info. Hoping someone can share a little more about how these sound and feel.
As a baseline, I love how our stock 66 327-350 hp sound, drives and feels. want a step up from that.
