I’m a little confused about the routing of the starter wires (see wrapped in silver heat shield) and the (new) ATF flex-oil fill tube (Lokar).
Should the starter wire loom be in front of the oil fill tube (as in pictures)?
Or should the wire loom be routed between the firewall and the ATF oil fill tube?
It appears you have a early 77 so the starter harness was part of the engine harness. Originally the wires from just above the fusible link to about the hood pin anti theft switch was wrapped in fiberglass tape and tucked behind the dip stick. Later 77 the starter harnesd was a separate harness and concealed inside black plastic split conduit that had a push pin that secured it through a hole in the firewall, it also runs behind the dip stick.
