I'm going to replace my front carpets due to mouse damage. In another vehicle I ordered carpet from stock interiors and was not thrilled with the quality.
What are the best sources of carpet that will match up with the factory carpet in the rear. I know it will look "newer" but I'm ok with that. I want the correct type to match up. Mine is standard black interior closed loop for 1970.
Before you install the new carpet, do a lot of reading and it will make the installation a piece of cake. First thing, is to leave the new carpet in a car left out in the hot sun all day, it will make the new carpet fitment easier. Go slow, make very small cuts, use a pencil soldering iron to make holes in the carpet.
Al Knoch will sell you anything you're willing to pay for...
Proven to be exactly right! I was able to order the front only. I was told to try again later for some seat material but they would also sell that if inventory levels were at a higher level.
Al KnochInteriors products are some of the very best we can buy for our Corvettes. Al, himself is a very "easy" guy to get along with as he is a great guy to have a beer with.
You should be very happy with the carpets you get from Al Knoch. If not, call Al or his staff and they will make you a happy customer! Just the way he does business, and I like it.
Nosey me...what was the shipping cost?
Did you buy one side only or both sides?
Shipping turned out to be pretty steep. About $70. They use Fedex ground which is a quality service and works well for me being able to have them hold it for pick up.
