Adding a passengers side mirror
I want to add a passengers side mirror to my 72 Corvette. I watched an install video of someone doing one. It wasn't difficult to do,other than the need to be careful drilling into a painted door. My question is who makes the best reproduction mirror kit for a 72 Corvette? I have read some of them are junk and loosen up and flop around over time.

I will certainly keep an eye out for an NOS passengers side mirror,but in the meantime,I will install a reproduction one. Anyone know of a decent quality reproduction. i hate driving without a passengers side mirror.

About 5 years ago I replaced my left mirror with a cheap reproduction off Amazon thinking it would just get me by for a short while. The chrome still looks brand new and holds its adjustment without flopping around.

I installed a left side mirror from Corvette Central. At the time, they had USA or China. I bought the Chinese part. It uses the rubber well nuts. Even came with a template for laying out the holes. The mirror has remained attached to the car even after ahem, cough, cough miles per hour.
There is a write up on how to install a factory type screw plate instead of using well nuts. But it is rather involved.
Just need to make sure you order the correct one. They had different sizes and such.
