I was getting my Corvette ready for paint and removed the power side mirrors to get them in the primer coat. This is when I noticed they were not of equal size. Is this normal for a 1981 Corvette with these types of power mirrors? Or is one replaced at some point? Would like to know before I put them back on!
Here is a picture of my OEM original 1980 Corvette mirrors. I am the second owner and bought the car in 1983. They have been disassembled and glass bead blasted recently. Ready for painting and reassemble. I bought C6 mirrors and won't be putting them back on. You can tell that the passenger mirror is indeed smaller.
Wonderful! So it seems this is from the factory. That is all I wanted to know. Would like to keep this part original. I feel much better now, knowing that I will be putting the ones back on they came with.
I figured as much as it is a pain to get these things removed!
