I am looking to repaint the hood and gas tank emblems on my '82. They have a little bit of wear, nothing terrible but enough to notice when looking closely. I was wondering what kind of effort would go into restoring them?
From what I have seen in other posts and digging on the internet, it seems like using Testors paint is the way to go along with a toothpick, small paint brush and a few other tools. Anyone have any suggestions or recommendations?
I used Testors and tiny tiny brush. The paint brush was next to the testors paint. I think the brushes are used for those tiny soldiers some model makers paint. I think I also used the tooth pick idea to push the paint around into corners.
i did this on one of my Olds 442 emblems but would probably work on yours also. I did 2-3 light coats to keep it from running all over the place.
