The old insulators has this white fiberglass cover that’s riveted to it, with this aluminum shield along with the front mounting bracket attached to it. As you can see on the new covers, they don’t have the fiberglass shield. Can I purchase the fiberglass shield , or do I need to try to remove it from the old insulator cover. Which you can see on the pictures, the ones that I have are not in good shape. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

as for the OPs question, call Keen Corvette, Volunteer vette or maybe Full Throttle corvette and talk to one of the techs or some of the other older corvette suppliers that deal with these daily. Paragon would have been a great place to get the answer but they were bought out and broken up. Willcox would have had the answer but he passed away. Ecklers and Corvette Central wont bee of help and Top Flight doesnt know what they are selliing...good luck finding old parts like that. Post up some pics of the missing parts. You might have to fabricate the aluminum shield and make your own fiberglass piece. I just repaired mine as best I could with what was left
