Default Radiator hoses

Can someone help me determine the correct upper and lower radiator hoses for a 1969, 350/350 HP, 4-Speed, factory air car. According to the judging manual the correct numbers are (3935466) & (3917669) but as you can see in the pictures, the hoses don’t align correctly.

Please understand that it is completely normal to need to trim these hoses for correct fit.
Also make darn sure that spring is in the lower hose.

Those are the correct part numbers for the hoses. Here is a page from the 69 AIM showing the installation. Yes, make sure that you have the spring in the lower hose so tha6t it does not collapse from the suction. That lower hose looks very long.

That spring prevents hose collapse when engine is at speed (highway driving). You MUST have the spring in there.

You have the wrong hoses.

"466" and "669" are the hoses for the 19" aluminum radiator that was only used with base motor 4 speed cars without AC. 4 speed small block air conditioned cars used the 26" copper radiator and used hoses 3946852 upper and 3946854 lower. It appears you bought an aluminum radiator, but it's a replacement for what was originally a copper radiator, so you need the hoses for a 69 with a 350 and a copper radiator.

Do these factory resto lower rad hoses with GM part numbers stamped on them come with springs? I don’t think they do. If not, where do you buy them?
