Can someone help me determine the correct upper and lower radiator hoses for a 1969, 350/350 HP, 4-Speed, factory air car. According to the judging manual the correct numbers are (3935466) & (3917669) but as you can see in the pictures, the hoses don’t align correctly.
Those are the correct part numbers for the hoses. Here is a page from the 69 AIM showing the installation. Yes, make sure that you have the spring in the lower hose so tha6t it does not collapse from the suction. That lower hose looks very long.
"466" and "669" are the hoses for the 19" aluminum radiator that was only used with base motor 4 speed cars without AC. 4 speed small block air conditioned cars used the 26" copper radiator and used hoses 3946852 upper and 3946854 lower. It appears you bought an aluminum radiator, but it's a replacement for what was originally a copper radiator, so you need the hoses for a 69 with a 350 and a copper radiator.
