guys, who has a remedy for a ‘floppy’ sun visor?
(other than buying a couple of new ones)
thanks.

My '68 has adjustable screws that pinch the chrome rod that each visor attaches to.

Try that...if the screw heads are worn out I think vendors sell new machine screws with the correct angles on the heads.

LET US KNOW WHAT HAPPENS.

I don't think that they have those adjuster screws on a 1980 model. (I think that's what the OP has) I seem to remember a thread on here a few years ago discussing this very problem. Perhaps try a Google search. Never try the search feature on this forum, it's useless.

I never had an '80 or later C3, so I don't know how the visors are constructed.... But, is there any way to insert a 'shim' of sorts into the visor to tighten up the fit? Maybe a portion of a plastic Zip-tie, etc ? [Sounds a little like "Bubba', I know....]

You can buy a kit to replace the plastic bushing that has lost its hold. EASY 1/2 hour project. The Corvette parts vendors have the kits. Zip sold me one. Cheap and easy. The slot holds a snap ring retainer.
