Default 1975 Corvette heater core

....I am not familiar with a 1975 CORVETTE. If a heater core leaks in a 75....does the water leak into the interior...of into the engine compartment ????

your carpet will be wet. Air-conditioning will drip outside.

If you don’t drive everyday in the winter take off the 2 hoses from the core and connect them together problem solved. Changing the core is a royal pain on these cars and you risk the chance of breaking other 50year old parts along the way .

Actually, from what I understand, a no A/C car heater core is relatively easy to replace versus a A/C car.

I agree with Sunflower. The heater core went in my ‘68 and fortunately left a trail of antifreeze up my driveway as i returned home from a local show.
My car doesn’t have A/C and it really wasn’t terrible but I’d strongly suggest buying a rebuild kit for the heater box while you’re into it.
I rebuilt my box with new seals and it works so much better now.
