How can I verify the Trailering Package on my car? What do I look for? What can I measure?

A buildsheet or window sticker will confirm. Otherwise, ZN1 was no more than heavy-duty suspension and cooling. Check the shock numbers and they should show heavy-duty along with a six-leaf rear spring. Perhaps the easiest first step is to check and see if there is a rear sway bar...included with the FE7, or heavy-duty suspension.

Look for the radiator tag and then look in the 1978 factory service manual, cooling section, for radiator codes.

For $50-, you can buy the dealer invoice from GM. Link in my signature. It will show you what options came with your car, which dealer originally sold it, and some other cool info.

Despite what some other threads may say, having ZN1 emblems on the fenders instead of the crossed flags is NOT an indicator of the rare ZN1 option package, though there's nothing stopping you from doing it.
