Default Rt front brake line question

Has anyone changed their rt frt brake line with the engine in the car? Previous owner at some point on my 77 has rounded off the nut where the line joins the hose. As I follow the line it snakes around pretty good and just curious if this is doable?

IF you can grab the rounded fitting with a pair of SMALL vice grip pliers and the connecting fitting with a brake line wrench you may be able to undo the bad fitting.

Absolutely doable. I replaced every brake line and junction block in my 77 without removing a engine or anything big.

I’m sure I can get a small vice grip on it but as it’s the only line that hasn’t been changed at this point and now knowing it’s doable without removing anything major seems like the time to do it when I change the brake hose. Thanks

This is not a hard job. Lay your new line out in front of the car. Under the hood see where that old brake line travels. Feed a string on both sides thru the engine compt @ the control arm area and out onto the floor in front of the car. If you are getting a new line just cut the old one at the R caliper and dont fight it. Get the old line out and tie your strings to the new line at each end and pull 'em back thru the same way the old one comes out. You may have to pull 'em thru a little at a time on each side if you are working alone. Be sure to cap the ends of the new line until you get it where it goes at.
Hope this makes sense, i should have taken a pic when i did mine but its fairly easy.
