Default Mallory Distributor and Ignithion Shielding

I have a Mallory distributor on my 80, I wanted to check and see if original ignition shielding would fit on it before I bou

Unless the that distributor can accept an HEI wire retainer the answer is no. The ignition shield clips on to a HEI wire retainer.

Go to a local Corvette car show and check out other cars which have the cover you wish to install. If you have adequate clearance for it, you may be able to 'adapt' that cover to the Mallory unit. I am assuming that you just want to make the engine compartment more "cosmetically" pleasing.
