Looks like its still in the car, is that accurate? Removed mine on the work bench, had the whole system out and dash stripped. If i remember it was interesting...pliers , screwdrivers and a third hand...

If I recall correctly, I just used one the "L" shaped picks to slide under the loops and pulled the clip straight back.

Have tried the pick but it stuck on there, I it being on there for 55 years will make it tough.

Yes that style of clip is designed to dig into the glass. A bit like a fish hook barb. Your going to need to rip it off.

Got it off, thank for advice. Made some sheet metal shims and forced them in and little pry with a screw driver and it popped off.
