Default 70-72 fuel pump (again)

Replaced the fuel pump on a base engine 72 a year and a half ago. It **** the bed again this morning. Too frustrated to look back thru old threads so I’m sure a question that’s been asked already is……what is a good brand replacement fuel pump for these cars?
Thanks in advance for suggestions.

just a personal opinion, but i would try to stick with an AC Delco product. The quality of parts today is a bit of a crap shoot with a lot of stuff being made over seas cheaply, and quality control mostly absent in the production cycle. it's not unusual for stuff to fail right out of the box. i was surprised about 10 years ago when i needed to replace the battery in one of my cars and went to a "name brand" auto parts store looking for the top of the line battery that they had which was not in stock and wouldn't be available for several days. the result was that i opted for the next one down the "quality" line and had a conversation with the counter guy about reliability. he was honest enough to tell me that their out of the box failure rate on their second best item was about 10-15% and the failure rate on the economy item was often as high as 30-35% and often replaced within the 24 month warranty period. i'm old enough to remember when virtually every part off the shelf was built and sold on their reliability.

I put a NAPA #B-0172-P fuel pump in my 1969 350/300 engine in 2018 and have had no issues.
