the motor has been replaced is this thing still used? Are they still available for replacement. I know it’s specifically for a big block 69, right ??

Hello,

I believe you'll find that these transistor ignition parts have some $$ value.
So be careful with it.

Regards....

It’s not just for big blocks, you could get it with the L46 350hp 350. Also, not all big blocks got the option. It was standard on the L71 but optional for all the other 427’s in 69. This was used for the ignition and would be hooked up to your distributor.

You may not be using it. You have to see if it’s hooked up. Follow the wires from the box and see where they go. If they are disconnected then you will know it’s not being used. Its expensive to replace the system.

Forgot to mention its also standard on the L88..

yeah it’s a 427/435 car. Unfortunately it doesn’t have the 427.

Pulled it out. Had a ground wire attached to one of the screws. The wires coming out were cut. What’s the significance of the numbering on the back?
Mystery wire and broken wire attached to one of the 3 mounting bolts

What does the 8J20 signify if anything at all ??

did some reading and it is October 20th 1968. Not sure the accuracy of that. My trim tag on the driver side door says October 9th 1968. Not sure where that tag and how long the vehicle takes to get to where the factory installed that module. 11 days seems long, but maybe not.
