Default 68 C-3 Gauge Bezel

Happy Friday,
I am in the process or cleaning up and replacing my gauge bezel cause it had broke.
I have it marked up, where does this connect to. The battery gauge was not functioning and that will be replaced along with the clock. Also where can you source the pink light bulb ?

The pink light bulb is the color wire that goes in there. You may have to clean your wires to tell the color. All the bulbs should be the same number. I didnt have that filter on my car, lots of chamges before i bought it. If you arent running a stock stereo it probably wont matter.

What are your plans for your old clock? im interested if you are tossing it out. Im looking to try and fix an old mechanically one, my quartz one is running slow

May I suggest you swapping the ammeter for a voltage gauge. They are available, just make sure you get the correct color for 68

This shows an electric oil pressure gauge. Yours is mechanical, but the rest of the wires are the same.

That does help, its that filter i am questioning, not sure if that hooks up to the battery gauge or some connection to the radio. it is so tarnished looks like it hasn't been connected in years. I am surprise any of the gauges even worked with the connection being so dirty.

The clocks are easy to fix.
take the back off, use a jewelers file to file the points contact (which often fuse together or become corroded) and then carefully mist the guts with wd40 being careful not to get it on the face of the clock. I then use air to blow off any excess wd40.
Test with 12 volts.
I had 4 non running clocks and every one I was able to get running.

It slips in the connector with the black wire on your ammeter. Basically, right where it is on your picture.

I did all of that you listed and began working then the second hand started flying, and it blew my powersupply like the one you have totally smoked it literally.

That "filter" you have circled is a capacitor installed to proved noise suppression. It helps to eliminate noise in the radio. There are several on the vehicle but that one appears to have been installed after the vehicle was delivered to the customer.

My '68 has this noise suppressor in the same location. I seem to recall it being in the factory AIM, but would need to look when I get home. Is this another '68 unique thing?

Capacitor is Stock. From AIM. Seems like that is what this is showing.

I replaced my clock with an analog air/fuel ratio gauge.
