Wrong carpet?
I ordered new carpet from Al Knoch for my 72 coupe and they sent me an automatic carpet instead of a 4 speed one. Is there much of a difference or am I going to have to send it back.
I just realized maybe it was good they sent the wrong carpet. My car was a turbo 400 car that I changed to a 4 speed.

Automatic cars had the passenger side of the transmission tunnel cut out and a new "humped" piece bonded in to accommodate the stuff on the side of the transmission. Unless you reworked the tunnel fiberglass to put it back to 4-speed configuration this set should work out great. For non-converted 4-speed cars, the automatic carpet would be way too loose at the passenger's calf area.
