Default Plug - Cap Question on 81

I’ve got an ’81 stock 350, located in Southern California so I’m not too worried about extreme weather. I drive ~2,000–4,000 miles/year, so it doesn’t see high mileage. The current plugs, wires, cap, and rotor are all about 10 years old, so I’m planning to replace them.

Here are my thoughts & questions:
  • For spark plugs, I’m leaning toward iridium or another long-life type, so I don’t have to mess with them again for a while.
  • What plug part numbers, brands, or models do you guys use in this setup? What has worked well long term (quality, reliability, minimal maintenance) for stock engines?
  • As for cap, rotor, wires, and ICM — I’m fine sticking with stock if those are good, but open to suggestions on upgrades if they give real benefits.
  • Please no “pull it all out and replace with a new HP setup” suggestions — this is a stock car and I don’t think it would make much difference with this setup. I just want to keep it reliable.
Thanks in advance for any tips, or part numbers.

If your running maybe 4K miles per year. Just your standard NGK plugs will easily last you 10 years plus.
As will any standard replacement parts such as cap and rotor. Just get good quality replacement parts such as NAPA or Standard Motor Products.
I run SMP Plug wires for instance. As good as OEM Quality and very affordable.
After 10 or 12 years you will likely think about replacement again just because of the time, not the miles. Iridium plugs will just be a waste of money.
