Can anyone recognized this (plug). I am working on a 73. It was hanging off one of the wiper washer hoses. The wires come out of the same harness the the wiper motor come out of. It looked like all the wiper motor plugs were in place. It is missing the outer cover. I would like to replace but not sure what it controls.
My '68 has a connector similar that plugs into the wiper/washer assembly..
Someone may have grafted that connector into you wiring harness also.
Do an internet search to see if you can find a wiring diagram of your '73.
Thank you, gentlemen. I found the wring diagram, and they do go to the washer pump. My pump is there but the black cover is missing and that white piece must have been attached on the inside. Once I get the new motor and pump it should all make more sense. That firewall in the pictures sure is clean, my hats off to you. looks great!
My 73 has the original wiper motor with the plastic cover. The wiring connections are not on the cover. There is a wire wound resistor on the wiper motor so that there is a LOW Speed ( very high tech). I wasn’t careful when cleaning my wiper motor and damaged the resistor. Your picture looks like a resistor, maybe?
I have a new pump on order from Zip. I they also have a pigtail that converts the old style to the new pumps. I will see once I get the new pump. Hopefully it will all make sense.
