68 Rocker panels

68 Rocker panels
Wanted to find out if you guys know what other year rocker panels would fit on a 68? I have the cheap plastic/fiberglass on them now. Someone is selling some aluminum or Stainless. Don’t know for sure yet if they would work but listed for a 70. I have some metal ones on 77.

The 68s were a two piece set for each side. The 69s will also fit. The aluminum rockers you refer to were introduced in 1970 and continued in various forms until 1982. In the early 70s I put on a set of aluminum set from a 1972 and they fit with a little bit of relocating the mounting holes. I sold them to a forum member and went back to stock. Jerry

I agree that the 70+ one piece rocker trim will work on 68-69 cars but will require that new mounting screw holes be drilled.

I finally got to check it out it will fit but its a little short buy splitting the difference will be a half inch on each side. I have a 77 and love the aluminum as I polished them. On the 68 I’m going with matte black because it will be painted candy blood red if it comes out right. Thanks. Sorry for late reply.
