I have an early '68 Convertible (build March '68) with a later model wiper motor which is effecting the cowl operation. Looking for advice... Was the original wiper motor '68 only or shared with '66/67 (C2) or maybe '69/70? I've heard that things like wiper nozzles changed (from curved to straight) during the '68 production year, we're there any other changes in that area?
I’ll check around but a March build 68 isn’t exactly what most would consider an early car, it’s the 8th month of a 12 month production.
Regardless I do think 68 had a unique part number for the motor, I just need to research if it was so different from later years that it has to be used.

the wiper motor shouldnt have anything to do with the cowl. What is the problem and post pics so we can help you figure it out.
THe 68 production run starts in 1967 and runs into the summer of 68. As far as I know the 68 motor was used in all of 68. THe big deal is how its wired and grounded.
Do you have any idea what wiper motor is presently in your car?
The control of the wiper door has to do with opening the door so the wipers don't hit the door on their way up and then stopping the wipers and sending a signal to the wiper motor to go all the way to the park position before closing the door.

I just reread what you had said...You HAVE to have a 68 motor for it to operate the 68 system. You can not use a later year motor. I was reading it as a late 68 motor, that doesnt exist. its wired differently and the system is set for its design
Thanks so much so far. Yes. March '68 buld car, but the wiper motor is from a later model. Pics to follow (when I'm back in front of the car this weekend)
