Default 2025 pay-it-forward thread

Hello all!

Hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving this year!

Welcome to the 2025 Pay it forward thread!
If anyone is up to joining in, I’d like to kick off this year’s Pay-It-Forward thread.

Each year as we approach the Holiday season, we find a renewed spirit in gift giving with friends and family. That giving spirit lives on here at the Corvette Forum and this the C-3 Corvette Family.

This thread will begin the annual “Pay-It-Forward” Holiday Season gift giving activity.

The rules for this are simple.

1) You post an item that you are giving away free of charge. Yes, you pay shipping to the new owner unless you have made previous arrangements with the claimer to pay shipping, share shipping, etc. This usually applies more to shipments outside of the US for our friends in Canada; Europe; and Australia where costs for shipping can be extravagant at times. US shipments are typically paid for by the giver for this Pay-It-Forward activity.

2) You can claim an item you are interested in owning after you have posted an item to be given away. It is, after all, a time of giving, not a time of taking, so please don't start claim an item before you take the time to Pay-It-Forward with your item or items.

3) You can post more than one item to give away. After all, it is the Holiday Season.

4) If you have given your offered part to someone please post an update to your offer thread and let us know who it was that claimed the part. This will help us to keep track of parts and avoid people asking you if it is still available when it may be gone already.

5) Be generous with your fellow Corvette Community members.

6) Have fun. This is a great community of Corvette owners and enthusiasts. Spread the joy.

I’d like to offer up the first item to give away, shipped free:

I have 4 used

OEM steering wheels to give away.
3 red steering wheels and one black one.

All 4 of these steering wheels are used and need some cleaning and light restoration.
All leather is intact, with no cracks or missing chunks.
The steel will be in need of polishing to brighten them up.
I have done a basic cleaning on them to remove some of the old dirt and grime already.

I am offering these up to 4 lucky individuals, not necessarily as one lot.

Claim one today!

I will update available quantities as they are claimed.

(Never mind the mess in the backgrounds. My storage unit is in disarray.)

Default Pay it forward part-auto crossmember off '72

Have cross member as shown in pics. I had it acid dipped, few extra welds added to seams, internally coated twice with KBS coating and painted with phosphorous coating and then 2 coating of chassis black. Thought I was going to use it but new frame came with crossmember. It has some pitting and I marked few dents on underside. If not looking for perfection but a solid piece, this might do it. Not sure shipping cost, hopefully someone in Indiana might need but we'll see. Oh and I noticed the drive shaft in the first picture, also available. Same coating but also has pitting. Ended up not using, wasn't going to risk it but no reason to think its not solid.

Nice wheels there @Jarhead 74 Vette . Would certainly take you up if I needed one. Thanks for getting this thread started this year!

I am offering up a 1975 A/C system. Too much to ship, so free for local pick-up in Winter Park, FLorida. I can not speak to the working or not of any of the mechanical pieces, but there are a lot of good parts here for someone who may be missing some, want original and are willing to clean up and restore them. I noticed that one of the interior plenums has a crack, but the structural integrity is intact. It can definitely be repaired with some epoxy or plastic weld material. PM me if you have need or a desire. Must take all, I need the room

Here’s a brand new 1969-1977 drivers side door latch mechanism. Keep in mind this is the part that attaches to the striker pin on the body, not the inner door handle like I had thought when I bought it. It also has some of the uniquely sized mounting hardware. It’s small, so easy to ship!

UPDATE: The left one has been claimed by @sauterindy. I'll get it shipped out this weekend. Right one is still available.

These fit 70-72, they're in driver condition. The passenger side did not fit my car well, the driver side fit ok. I'd prefer to ship to the lower 48 only. I'd being willing to split if you only need one side.

I looked to see what removed items im hanging on to, just in the event anyone needs either they are yours as long as your local Arizona... wouldn't be worth it to ship.

*1980 1981 auto transmission crossmember.
*1970 non power steering box, clean tight and worked very well.

Default emergency brake set and ubolt set

The number shown on box is CorvetteAmerica I believe. Please note one of the pins that hold shoe to backplate is missing. Ended up having trailing arms rebuilt and this was included:
Corvette America part number I believe
Corvette America part number I believe
note missing pin
note missing pin

Also have 4 half shaft u-bolts new in box, Zip SU-132 but have 4 ubolts. Not sure how I ended up with the extras...
