What does your winter project list look like?
- Resurrection
Moving Santa Cruz to north of Seattle and I need to get this thing running for the first time in 9 years. With a project house (finally sold!) dragging me down, I haven't had the time or energy. Might relent and let somebody else do the work for once, but it'd be really nice to at least get the gas tank in and have it running so it's easier to load on the trailer! Had it cranking over and rebuilt the carb earlier this year.
Give Chris a call and he’ll get it on the road for you.
Remove non- original 1972 3.08 diff, clean and paint carrier and cross member with new bushings, and install rebuilt NOM 3.36-Done
Remove drive shaft, clean and paint, and install new u-joints-Done
Replace T10 tail shaft seal-Done
Clean and paint half shafts and install new u-joints-Done
Install new rear shocks-Done
Install new body mounts
Replace oil pan gasket
Install new timing chain set
Replace harmonic dampener
Polish aluminum rocker covers
Remove Holley carb and install NOM Qjet
Repair oil pressure gauge with sevicable 91ohm resistor (hopeful)
Probably won’t accomplish all outstanding squawks, time will tell.
Finish the body off full nut and bolt restoration, but that probably won’t happen until way past winter, but hopefully in 2026.
