Got the body off the frame. Time to fit the new ls and 8hp70.

Lh6 and an 8hp70 out of ram truck. Leaning toward the maaxecu to control each.

You have quite a project ahead of you. And quite a set of ***** to tackle it. As a guy working on his '78 restomod coming up on year 11 ( almost done and ready for paint) I hope life doesn't get in your way. Good luck.

Very nice! I’m curious to see how well the car will drive in the end with the 8HP70. So much so that I’m considering changing my whole TCM I already bought and getting one myself.

Yes. I cant find any c3 projects completed with th 8hp70. Some folks are much further along than we are though. Really though how you control it and adapt it to the LS are the only areas you have to make decisions as long as you get a gen1 8hp70.

It's technically been going on since 2001 when we I bought it. Just took a very long break from working on it. We are gung ho now.

Nice going!
I have one suggestion for consideration. Since you will probably be modifying the tranny crossmember just make it so the exhaust passes UNDER it and not through the goofball holes next to the tranny. It really is lots mo' betta'

I'm quite happy with my recent swap to a 200-4R but if it was starting now I would lean towards this 8HPxx: Lot of information here:

found this fun quick view:

Yeah just had the flanges made. I have it where we can go back with stock or change it to a smaller tube. Going with side pipes so no issues with exhaust.
