The issue with the surround panel reinforcement rivets corroding really only applies to 68-72's. GM fixed the problem when they went from fiberglass to SMC. They started bonding in the reinforcement in 1973, if I remember the year right.

My 1969 has some dimples showing in the paint. Until today, I never fully understood the reason why.
It is one of the best explanations I've seen on why the dimples occur over time. Thank you for posting the video.
