Default '79 Radio Mounting

I know a similar question was asked recently. Sorry.. .I just need to go a little deeper on this.

Does anyone have pictures of how the radio mounts in the rear of the unit. I know there's a bracket on the right, and it was mentioned that there's nothing on the left hand side. I would like to see a picture of how it actually sits on the left.

The original 8-track radio in my '79 has always tilted because there's no support on the left side. I removed the instrument cluster to inspect and the radio is mounted to a bracket on the passenger side, but zero support on the left side. There's nothing? It's just floating on the left hand side. How should it rest and be stable?

Thanks
Vinnie

When you use the factory bracket that mounts the radio to the trans tunnel bracket and adjust/ tighten it properly, the radio will be rock solid. No need for anything on the drivers side. Ot is importantto use the factory reinforcement bracket, not tin or plumbers strap that I've seen used after a repro radio was installed.
I've got pics if you need more help

Thank you, Bigredbrad!

It looks like it's the original mounting hardware. It might have just never been set up correctly over the years..If you do have pictures handy, please upload them. I'll take all the help I can get!

Thanks
