Default Window Problem

My passenger side window is slightly chipped on the edge. It’s hitting the pillar post weatherstrip retainers when you shut the door. The glass is clipping the metal retainer and then sitting on the outside of the rubber. It’s not going into the channel in the weatherstrip.

Can you adjust the placement of the metal weatherstrip retainer to make it line up with the window better? Or can you adjust the position of the window glass so that it lines up with the weatherstrip correctly?

One or both of those seem to be off a little bit.

The drivers side window lines up properly.

Thanks. I'll probably replace the weatherstripping and retainers in the process, but I'll take the door panel off and adjust the window. I think it's too far out and too far forward, since its hitting the metal on the front/windshield pillar. It also doesn't go all the way up to the weatherstrip on the t-top. I need to adjust that as well. I found a YouTube video showing the process. Looks simple enough.

The year specific Chevrolet Service Manual will have a detailed “how to adjust” the window if you are not familiar with the procedure.

I just ordered one an hour ago, actually.
