Default how much steeering fluid do i need?

as the title says how much steering fluid do i need? i checked the dipstick and it's half way below full. should i be adding more and if so which brand ?

I suspect, maybe start with half a pint. any atf or power steering fluid will do

Have you checked the pressure hose attaching to the pump and the end seal on the cylinder to see if it's leaking out and where?

yes sir except im not entirely sure abt the pump. i'll take a look at it again tonight. thank you

FYI, There are hot and cold reading marks on the dip stick.

Keep in mind, there is a full cold and a full hot mark. Cold is pretty low on the stick. I always check mine cold as the location of the pump makes it easy to burn yourself when everything is hot.
