E15 concerns with older vettes
Since your ‘77 is stock it should have a Quadrajet. The accelerator pumps are known for not liking modern ethanol fuel blends. Here’s a link to one of the best replacements on the market. That’s not necessarily ethanol “proof,” but should resist swelling and coming apart better than anything else. Other than that, use non ethanol on your last fill up before storing the car for long periods of time.

We have some local stations selling no-ethanol gas but it is usually low octane.
1. E15 swelling the inside duameter of the rubber hose from the tank to the the steel line on the chassis. I replaced that hose with high pressure hose designed for late model cars that have fuel injection per Forum Members.
2. ANYTTHING made of rubber or near-rubber inside the carB began dissolving. I'll use your advice in this thread to buy rebuld parts for the carb that will last longer.

I guess it depends on how many miles you put on the car the 91 octane is cost wise.

Other that there are addatives available to combat negative ethanol effects per google.

Other than chainsaws and lawn tractors, I only have one car left that prefers ethanol-free gas, so that's what she gets. Everything else already has an LS, or is in the process of being swapped. If you really want to future-proof your car, you convert an LS to run on E85 pretty easily. There's lots of that available near me, and unless Louisiana blockades the Mississippi River, that's unlikely to change.
E15 (88) has been out for several years in over 30 states at larger gas stations that offer 87,89,91,92,93,E85,Kerosene,Diesel and sometimes 100+ racing fuel.
E15 has only been sold during the winter months. It's on it's own pump with a blue nozzle, usually next to the E85 pump with a yellow nozzle.
The Department of Energy has issued a waiver allowing E15 to be sold during the summer months...that's it. If someone accidentally puts E15 in their car, it's because they're color blind and/or can't read.
This is as bad as people acting like 10% ethanol is a new thing because they read about it on the internet. Not aware their grandparents were using it in their new Ford Pinto while listening to the latest Bee Gees 8 Track.
I took this photo about a week ago. That blue nozzle has been there for many years.
From the EPA website:
The emergency fuel waiver will temporarily waive the summer low volatility requirements and blending limitations for gasoline to provide additional flexibility to the fuel marketplace. This will increase fuel supply and provide a variety of gasoline fuel blends to choose from without changing environmental protections already in place. E15 is currently offered at over 3,000 gas stations nationwide, where it serves as a more affordable choice for Americans.
