Default Another phone mount idea

I wanted a phone mount that was quick, easy and very low profile. I had a slew of ideas but after countless hours of sketch up I had nothing that I was really fond of. Most were unnecessarily over designed and just didnt tick the "easy" check box. Few weeks ago the kid next door stopped by with his new phone mount on his bicycle handlebar and then it hit me. I got an old ash tray from a forum member and started experimenting. I searched on the Ram website for the various mount options they have and settled on this. Drill a hole in the ash tray and bolt it on. Drop the entire thing into the ash tray and thats about as simple as it gets. For NCRS next fall I just drop the OE ashtray back in. Its an iPhone SE which is smaller than most iPhone / Droids out now but Im sure variations on this would work for any phone you have. FWIW. my wifes iPhone 13 does not fit but a different Ram mount could easily adapt to work if you have a larger phone.
