Default Vettepack side pipe inserts.

Hello,

I am looking for new inserts for mu hooker side pipes, I currently have the glass pack inserts but as they are pretty restrictive I would like to change them to vettepacks but I am on the fence on which ones..

I searched everywhere but can't find anything, I want good flow but don't want them to be too loud. I don't want them louder than the glass pack inserts.
They exist in 14" resonator (25VP-IN) and full resonator (25RES-IN), everywhere I look I find people with the 14" resonators but not the full resonator type.

Anybody here that has the full resonator type ? How is the sound on these ?

Thanks

I have the Vettepacks. Sound is subjective and a lot depends on cam timing and compression ratio. Sidepipes make more noise than undercar style exhaust. That said, The Vettepacks are pretty nice. They are not loud at idle or cruise relative to other options. The Vettepacks really bark when I crack the throttle fast or go wide open throttle. Im at 10.7 compression ratio so that really helps it "rap". Hooker reverse flow might be just a little bit quieter but not by much at all. The Hooker reverse flow inserts definitely KILL power big time. One of our forum members did a YouTube video of the Vettepacks vs the Doug's inserts. You can search for that.

I like the way these Vettepacks sound. Not too loud for me. Just right.

I too am running the VettePack inserts. As stated above no drone, sound is subjective to each.

You can call the owner (Eric) and talk to him, explain what you’re looking for, he is very helpful.

In the link above if you scroll down to video of black C3 he did a great cruise video also. Of course he has a cam and such but it sounds great.

I run STS baffles in my Hooker side pipes. They flow and sound great.

I guess everybody has the vettepacks with partial resonators, I was interested in the full resonator vettepacks as to Eric they don't hurt the flow or horsepower but are quieter but can't find any sound clip between the two (partial vs full resonator).

I 2nd the STS baffles. Had them on my 78' sound great and not too loud. I tried all 3 of the Hooker mufflers and agree that they are very restrictive. They had one version (don't remember which) was WAY too loud, almost like no muffler at all.
