The other place started out free, but I guess he couldn't get enough sponsers to pay the bills. There's lots of talented C3 people there, I learned a few good things from them before the free time ended...

Yeah I miss it sometimes, but not enough to pay for it.

I've been gladly paying to belong to that other place, there are some really good people there and there are benefits that are not available here. You can register and try the place for free the first 3 months, if it's not what you want you don't have to pay the 10 bucks to continue. I spend a lot more time here, but also visit Crossed Flags regularly.

I recently joined and understand why he has to charge a little. $10 is a very small amount of money.

I pay $15 for a haircut, so it is no biggy with me.

Me too. I posted less than 10 for sale or asking questions and I think 300+ posts answering questions. I didn't (and still don't) think I should have to pay for the privelege or answering questions. It's a nice site, but this one is much better IMHO.

I don't understand why the link is bad. Are you afraid of losing members to that site? I see this site promoted quite frequently on other web sites.

I do respect your decision however.

Most of the people there, including the admin, were here first. (They probably left here to avoid all the BS & OT.) I was the first person other than the administrator to post over there. I stayed for a month or so and then came back here. For all its faults, this is still the best C3 forum (but it could be better.....).
