I just picked up a complete 454 hood with emblems, induction flapper, latch releases, cables, etc. It has a small scratch in the corner but is otherwise in great shape. Too big to ship. Oh, its painted a beautful shade of doo doo.

Here are some pics. The scratch is about 1/2" long in the right rear corner, very small. Has insulation, flapper harness, etc.

im not intrested , but i thought id let you know that if someone wanted it shipped ,greyhound bus service is the way to go, i shipped a hood from il to california and it only cost around 40.00, greyhound is the way to go when shipping hoods

That is the way to go, did it on another hood, but the nearest terminal is in Worcester. It ended up taking me a few hours to drive there and back.

Is this a GM Factory Hood? If so I am interested. I have to check if it will fit my 1971.

I don't think it will fit a 71. My 70 has a the wiper door so it needs to be a good 6" shorter. I have a wiper door eliminator hood for sale here too for a 68-72. I tried that on my 75 and it overhangs the fenders by a bit so I don't think this 74 would match up to a pre-73.

Thank you for your time, even if it is bad news. That hood is just what I wanted for my car and fairly priced. If you happen upon something that will fit an earlier c-3, maybe you could keep my address. As for the other hood you have, I want to stick with GM product.
