I have the seats minus the tracks
-- I have the seats, that need to be reassembled, minus the tracks.
-- I replaced my orginal seats, which I had restored a couple of years ago. Email me if you are interested. Hnvalle@hotmail.com

Seats
I know the seats are incorrect, but they are far better than what you want. The original Tombstones were the worst seat they ever put in a Corvette. If you don't have hemmoroids now you will sure grow some riding on those, Cheeky.

Slightly off-topic, but have any of you considered swapping in some more up-to-date, non-corvette seats? Sacriliege, I'm sure, but seat technology has improved over the last forty years in direct proportion to my sagging posterior, and if I'm going to have my mid-life crisis in style, I'd at least like to do it in comfort. My idea is to measure up the seats - hardware and all - then figure out if there's something I can salvage from a more comfortable car in the junk yard.
Thoughts?

Im starting to lean the same way. I looked at the seats my brother has in the truck. They are black leather buckets out of a Celica.

The seat just sit me up to high and head hits the roof.

Hemmoroid
Something is not right, I am 6'4" tall and I had 82 seats in my 72. I mounted the seat shell of the 82 directly to the seat track of my 72. If the guy you bought this from used the seat tracks from an 81 or 82 that will raise you about 2-1/2". One other thing, I also mounted a set of 82 LOF glass t-tops on the car, no liners...even more clearance. Just remember, the car is yours, make it be whatever you want, Preparation H is available everywhere, Cheeky.
