For Trade. New never mounted C3 exhaust
In the continuing saga, these are more parts off my 72 I got back that I don’t plan to use. A lot of this stuff was new from Mid America 17-18 years ago and has sat wrapped in original boxes untouched all this time.
I don’t want to use regular exhaust on my car, I want to go back side pipes, so I’m asking if anyone has long-headers (chrome please) for side pipes and side pipes to trade or partial trade for a stock exhaust from the manifolds back. No mufflers.
Pipes, joining couplers, hangers, and the rear chrome tips, never used, in original packaging. The pipes themselves have a little dust/light rust that should sand right off. It’s been indoors for years but it still has some humidity. Pictures on request.
I have the box and can ship if you can, or meet within a few hours of Nashville half-way?
Thanks,

Most small block chevys of this vintage use exhaust manifolds with 2 inch outlets. I don't have anything to trade by if you don't get any takers I might be interested in buying it off you outright if its for 2&1/2 inch outlets.

I would hazard a guess that 2 1/2 inch outlets are for big block cars. Looked up a few eBay auctions and all the 2 1/2 pipes are all in Big Block cars.
I have nothing to say checking to verify part numbers, but judging simply by the size of the pipe from memory, they are probably 2 inch pipes.
They make 2 1/2 to 2 inch exhaust pipe reducers if you really wanted to make them work.

I make my own exhaust systems and I can tell you - the manifold flange angle on those head pipes is for a small block. They exit virtually straight down whereas big block exit at a noticeable angle

Hi,
The pipes certainly look like 2-1/2" diameter and are 'necked down' to match exhaust manifolds with 2" outlets.
This was the configuration that was originally used on 70-72 LT-! cars.

Alan

Well, I don't know what to ask, since all of this is brand new in packages, some of which is Ecklers, some of which is OEM.
What I have is essentially the kit in the link to Ecklers below ($355), but also adding the rear tips ($55) and OEM exhaust hangars and rear clamps that keep the mufflers from drooping down. Those OEM clamps are pretty pricey if eBay is any indication. Figure what I have is worth around $500-550 at retail prices.
So figure 1/3 off for non-retail but new, not used, puts me somewhere around $350-375 and I'll include shipping, which will likely be around $60 bucks since it's long and bulky, so you'd be getting it for roughly $290-325.
