350 with Moon quad Weber manifold and M20 SoCal
Hello,
For sale is a 350 engine that was pulled out an old ZR1 corvette. It is not an original ZR1 motor. The history of this engine is interesting. The info is solely based on stories passed down to me about it and I don’t have any picture evidence but it’s still a cool story. This motor came out of a 1970 ZR1 corvette that was raced by George and Joann Lynch in the 70s and it apparently won many races. The Lynch's autocross club was sponsored by Dick Guldstrand who prep'ed the ZR1 for SCCA racing. With Dick's assistance, over the next twenty years, this ZR1 was a multiple time SCCA National Champion, with JoAnn at the wheel and I’m assuming this motor was responsible for the some of the wins.
It was paired with a Muncie m20. The motor was pulled by a friend of the family when he purchased and restored the car. The motor is a late 70s 350 (Block id#14016379) with a moon quad Weber manifold. The carburetors are 45DCOE. The transmission is a m20 from a 1970 corvette (housing#3925661) and it has the original bell housing, fork and clutches.
This motor and trans obviously needs to be rebuilt but it would be a cool piece to own. The story is neat but obviously all of that aside, you would have a near piece of history.
I have seen the manifold alone listed on other websites anywhere from 3-6k. Everything is located in Rancho Cucamonga, Southern California. Please send me a message or email me at johnsmp68@gmail.com. I am asking $5k for both the engine, transmission and components or best offer.
