Default Rear seal tips needed....

I am goint to replace the pinion seal on the front of the diff. What size socket is needed to remove the nut. How do you get to the seal to pry it out.. How hard is it to puond the new seal in with out dropping the diff. Any tips and ideas welcome.......

I have built and installed many rear ends in my 71 coupe and others, and I wouldn't attempt to put a front seal in one without taking the rear end out. It might can be done but there isn't much room around the pinion. Just my opinion though.
