just be sure you put it in correctly. diodes allow current to flow only one way. if you put in in backwards it won't do you any good.

when i switched OFF it ran fine radio shack diodes 3/$1.29 fixed it.
i don't have MSD, but for $1.29, TRY IT!

I think the msd instructions say not to use the ballast resistor if you are running the 6al Box. I have a 6al and a blaster II coil with no resistor and no problems. Timing sounds dead on. Make sure your valves are properly adjusted. Make sure your idle air is properly adjusted. Make sure your choke is working properly.
