one problem is that he has a fixed tranny crossmember. My crossmember is obviously not stock, but many forum members have used their stock crossmembers on the 200r4's.
I even used the stock 4-speed crossmember (welded in)
Why not just screw a 90 degree elbow fitting into the transmission fitting?
There's no way to get the fitting into the port... There would be enough space with the fitting in place.. but I just can't get the fitting in... The fitting is about 1 inch long, but I only got less than 3/4 inch of space..
Gs, on my '72 700 here, I have holes in the pass side just for those cooling lines, and sheet aluminum....not to mention widening the tunnel to clear....so yes, i'ts a cut and make do situation....apparently the exact sizes of these bodies on these old sharks varied all over the place, tons of posts about alignemnt of body on frame, relative placement of glass in the floors, clearancing trannies, driveshafts....methinks the production tollerances in the floorboards were plus/minus an inch or so...
