Sounds like alot is getting done!!

Anyway to lighten up the digital pics though?? Every time you post pics, they seem too dark for me to see clearly. Might be my monitor, but other pics look fine.
Might need some more light on the subject...

Installed the shifter today but Haven't tightened it down yet...
I also installed the trans temperature gauge and bought and installed the alternator belt..
I still have problems attaching the fittings to the cooling ports on the tranny.. The fittings just won't go on

I took all the pics when it was dark.. The flash on the camera isn't strong enought to get the pics much lighter than that..

I know that this may seem like an insanely stupid question, but are you dead positive sure that you have the right fittings? If you do, try to turn them to the left first while trying to get them seated. It helps to align the threads. Been working with fittings for 11 years now and sometimes that can actually hlep to orient the fittings.

I'm sure that I got the right size fittings... The cooling ports on TH200R4's are 1/4 " NPT...
I'm actually going to try a different type of fitting. I'm going to Discount Auto to see if they have the factury type metal lines with the fitting...

that may be the thing to do... there may be some difference in bevel of the NPT compared to the factory fittings.

The brake line fittings screw in perfectly into the cooling ports

It's interesting that when you look at the threads on the NPT and brake line fittings, they look identical, but the NPT won't screw in but the brake line fitting will...

Gonna attach the hoses and the rest of the tranny cooling system right now

It's very strange because size and thread look identical to the fittings that won't fit

Now I'll just have to figure out the direction of flow...

Bubba. I haven't read any of the other responses but Bubba is the first thing that comes to mind when I look at the pictures. I know I am being hard on you Oliver but the workmanship is poor. Couldn't you even paint the roll cage?? How about the floor? Looks like you have forgotten about the carpet?
I know I am being critical but I do nice work and looking at the pictures I see alot of really bad work.
I know you are going to say this is a race car but even race cars have painted interiors/cages. NO one leaves their cage just rough looking unpainted like that.
The floors if you are going to leave the carpet out need painting, even if you do install carpet.
The hole looks hacked out. I still can't get over the cage, a professional built it??? Too low a should harness mount, can't roll the windows up without opening the door?
At least slow down and paint everything as you go. YOu say it is a race car yet you are going to drive it on the street?
It's your car but you don't get to work on mine.
Sorry but I am telling it like I sees it.

Twin Turbo I felt the same and had to post immediately before reading what other said.

I feel the really good cars come from guys who are annal about every detail, they don't throw things together and say they will come back later and fix it up. They finish one part at a time, doing the best they can on that part before moving on to the next.
At car shows I don't look at the surface, I look at the hidden details to really decide if the guy does good work or not.
Putting carpet over dirt floors is just covering up a poor job. Somehow comming back and doing it right never seems to happen. How long can it take to paint the cage and the floor while you are at it??
Paint the interior then work on something under the hood while it dries or just before going in for the night.

The car is work in progress.. I won't install the carpet until the hole in the tunnell is covered .
The rollbar is going to be painted but that's not a priority right now.. Want to get the car on the track ASAP... I'll paint the rollbar whenever I'll get a chance... The harness mount is exactly wher it should be.. Look at the picture!!! It's right where the hole for it on the seat is.. Any other location wouldn't make sense

I think that I'll have to mention that the pics are from

I would have thought Norval would have liked all the holes in the floorboard.. Saving weight... GS don't let it get to you....
