Hood alignment
Okay tommorow I'm starting the engine bay detail project. On my 77 if I recall I drilled 2 holes on each hood hinge so during reinstall I could slide a scribe down the hole to verify alignment. Question is I don't remember if the hinge had elongated holes on both the hood to hinge and hinge to body or just the hinge to body.
Want to drill the holes before I ever back off the nuts since the hood is perfectly aligned right now.

on my 77 the hinges are off of the car.....the body to hinge holes are a smaller round diameter then the hinge to hood holes....none of them are elongated but the hinge to hood holes certainly are a larger diameter...i just scribed the hood hinge....i tried blue tape but it would not stick........

I'm going to scraibe them in. Remember I'm repainting the bottom of the hood so majic marker won't work but if I apply pressure the mark will show even when painted. Thanks all.
