Default Cut Outs

What do you all think about electric cut out? Does anyone have them or has used them? I can not run side pipes because I have a custom made rocker panel and piples will not fit so I am thinking of Cut outs. Thanks

I don't have any, but I'd love to get some. I think it would be really nice to change to open exhaust at the flip of a switch. Scare away those ricers!! Haha

Don't need cut outs, I have side exhaust.

If I had conventional exhaust I wiould invest in Dumps/cut outs.

Next time at the track, I am going to un-cork the exhaust to see how much difference it will make. If it does I'll get those electric ones and maybe a little quieter exhaust system for when they are closed.
My chambered is LOUD when I get on it.

Alot of the LS1 camaro guys are running the electric cutouts. They say the cutouts are good for 20-30 Hp. The electrics just add convenience so you don't have to crawl under the car to open them up. Most guys run the Flowtech cutouts and the Quick Time Performance electrics.

Where would you install the cutouts, after an "H"-"X" pipe and before the mufflers or right after the headers....I'm sure lots would like to know...

I think this is the route I am going. The LS1 need some back pressure, so mounting them at the rear should help.

I am also considering this route, have Hooker sidepipes yet to be installed but might sell them and go with an undercar system and electrically activated cutouts that would be something
