Mini Starter wiring
My original starter had 4 wires hooking to its 3 posts. The new mini starter has 2 posts. I which wires goes where and what do i not need? I know the big black wire goes on the bigger post. anyone got a diagram or can lead me in the general direction? Thanks.

The three posts are: 1)Large post; Main Battery Cable and Main Feed to car electrics, possibly through fuse links on later models. 2) One small post with purple wire; Starter Solenoid activation from ign switch. 3) Third terminbal is for a ballast/resistance wire bypass to the coil to provide full 12V during starting. If you have the HEI Ign the third wire is not needed. If you need the third wire you need to replace the Solenoid with a three terminal version.

ummm...its the summit mini starter..i've heard of others on the forum using it. I just hooked the two terminals, and left the ballast resistor wire off..I think i remember reading somewhere , that you can do this. yet i do not have HEI ignition.

I've ansewred this so many times i can't find the energy anymore. U can search my profile for past postings as i don't have anything new to ad to them. Mini is really easy to wire - but need correct model for ur flywheel size. Good luck Redshark. cardo0
