Sometimes I just can't believe the "deals" I hear on this Forum. Of course, I never find them. Let's see, a chrome bumpered Vette with a 454 and a ragtop. Heck, it can't be worth more than $35K. It's been sitting most of its life, not getting used up. All for $4K. Where do I sign up. I'm not usually this cynical. I"m just jealous as hell I didn't find it. My day is now ruined.

A Survivor Car?
This could be one of those cars...if you just go through and replace all the worn parts you end up with what most of us have - a great-running nice-looking car that is not original anymore. Your project could be one of those painstaking bring-it-back-from-the-dead cars that each part gets pulled, refurbished and reinstalled. NCRS anyone? How many survivor cars are there left - even if all the paint is removed?

That is a hell of a deal but he has to know what he is getting into. That car is going to needd a frame off resto. Not a job for the weakhearted or lightly financed. That is a car worth doing right!! that means its going to be expensive all the way. He better know he is stareing an additional $25,000+ in the face unless he does this for a living. You can dispute my math but its the $300-800 bills that kill you in projects like that.
