Just finished installing some Crane Shaft Mounted Rocker Arms. Who knows....with a set of "skinnies" on the front and some cool weather, Maybe I'll see 11.1s or even 11.0s
Keep me updated on your new times. That was quick and a great upgrade.

I am running Tri-Y. The main reason for using tri-y was I drive my vette on the street and the tri-y are supposed to give more torque low down than tuned length . I can drop under idle in 5th and pull away clean.
I have rear exhaust and I fabbed my headers myself for a couple of reasons.
1/ Vette is converted to Right Hand Drive and the available headers would not fit.
2/ I wanted to make sure I could remove every sparkplug without being a contortionist.

Ahah! Someone else appreciates tri-ys! Cool. I have always wanted to try and see if I could fit Thorleys but they are adament that these will not fit a C3 let alone one w/ AC.

Thanks for sharing this info. I'm going to keep a copy of your pic and if you care to shoot another of the other side. I may just break down and w/ some help have some fabbed up like your and maybe have them coated. It's the only header I will consider - that or good ol' rams horns. And for the money I see others talking about for equal lengths - your fab approach is looking better and better!

Q: Good thinking about the plugs. What about the oil filter - hard to tell in this pic but is it kinda close?

Q: Does your collector go into 2" or what? I was thinking a 2" or 2.5" tailpipe...?

Thanks again for sharing this!

The pipes are 2" primaries to 2.25" secondary to 2.5" collectors. The rest of the system is 2.5" The pipes are port matched to the heads and all bends are mandrel bent. The flange is sealed with good old white silicone and no leaks.
The oil filter wrench is a bit tight to get on and off but the filter comes off easily.
The gap between No 6 and No 8 is where the steering shaft goes through for the rack. An old hot rodders trick
