i have headlights, but no highbeams?
i just had my new engine dropped in my car, and ever sinse my highbeams don't work. well actually my headlights work fine, but once i flick to highbeam my headlights go off! everything else stays on and works fine, just all the outside lights shut off? just wondering if anyones got a clue to whats going on. thanks again.

I would be looking for a bad ground. There's a engine to frame strap near the starter and right side motor mount, there are also grounding wires from the headlights to the hood surround that could have been disturbed during the engine swap.

Grounding is a good guess, if that doesn't help check the foot switch. I had problems with that swiicth and it did exactly the same for a while. After a while it get worse and even the low beams weren't working...
