help with side pipes

help with side pipes
This will seem like a stupid question to some people, but does it matter on how you mount the side pipes. Which is the left and which is the right? Do the brackets that mount to the frame point up or down. Thanks for the input.

just installed a set on a 70
removed the rocker panels
side pipes came wit a T bolt that fit in the frame slot
lined right up with the flange on the pipe
this had to be one of the easy things i've done to
my car, the only probem i had is finding a
alternator bracket (got one on ebay for a lt1)
