I know that cold weather starts are the hardest on a car, so I refrain from starting it in the winter, but it's 52 degrees outside (kinda crazy for us here in MN) is that still considered a cold weather start?
If I'm not mistaken, any startup after the car has been sitting for a while will create more wear and tear than when the engine is lube up from a previous start. That's one of the main reasons for using a thinner oil in the winter. The oil will circulate quicker when cold.

I use 20W50 in the summer and 10W40 in the winter. My '69 BB stays in my garage for most of the winter, but I try to start it and give it a quick 30min ride around my neighborhood when the temperature hits ~45F and the streets are bone dry. I have to diddle with the choke and pump the pedal alot, but I've learned the secret receipe to get it started.
I have mastered the cold start in my '75. Pedal to the floor for a couple of seconds, then release slowly. Turn key and it starts after 3 seconds without hitting the accellerator again.
This is a tip I learned from Old Cars. I even called the guy on the phone. He was a great guy and a "old timer" to cars. He loved Corvettes. He said to take a 1:5 dilution of Marvel Mystery Oil (yes that again)...pour about 50 mLs into the carb and then start it. The mixture will put a coating of oil on the moving parts that need it. I'm no expert but I can't see it could do any harm at all.
