Oliver the small propane ones (blue) at Home Depot don't get hot enough but you might try the map gas with one . It gets a lot hotter, they are the yellow tanks.
The service manual shows a yoke holding tool, I made one out of 1/4" aluminum. Then you can use a big-*** breaker bar on the nut. The breaker bar will overpower all but the stoutest air wrenches. I used a my IR impact wrench, but a lsuper long breaker bar seems to have even more ummph!
The breaker bar would work great if I'd have a lift, but the space to operate it is very limited because the car is only jacked up...

I might try that.. Another thing that I'm considering is to bring the car to Van Steel on Monday and ask them to get the nut off...
Can you get a flex handle on it? I have... ahem... used a hydraulic jack on flex handles to loosen bolts. I'm not sure if you can get in there... but if you can... it might be worth a shot. You have to preload the socket and keep it on the bolt head! (Make sure all your tools are warrantied! )
Also... Try PB Blaster... spray it around the bolt... its good stuff.
